This year the Parents Association is delighted to again sponsor the
Loreto Abbey Young Scientist Competition.
Many Loreto students have entered the BT Young Scientist competition over the years and have successfully been accepted to the national competition which is held at at the RDS just fter Christmas. This year the PA is again sponsoring an initiative to encourage our students to enter this fantastic event which is both fun and educational. A critical stage in the BT Young Scientist Competition is the initial entry of a project proposal, and this is a hurdle where some can fall, for many reasons - the timeline is very early in the term (October), students are not familiar with the format, they have not thought their ideas through , etc. So we created a competition within the school for the best project proposal from an individual or team.
